Exeter Community Energy (ECOE) is a new social enterprise that enables local people to take ownership of renewable energy projects. With an innovative idea ready to launch, they engaged Sound in Theory to create their visual identity.
Ecoe needed their brand to feel approachable and inclusive for the local community, whilst having the presence to stand alongside the big six energy companies. The circular forms in the logo are reminiscent of established symbols for sustainability, adding a level of trust and credibility which was crucial for the new brand.
Appealing to a wide demographic is important for ECOE, not just the already eco-conscious.
The visual style and tone of communication is inclusive, featuring strong messages that are designed to resonate with a whole spectrum of people.
"The design and branding work that Sound in Theory have done for ECOE has been invaluable for us. They've been great to work with - creative, reliable, patient, good communicators. ECOE wouldn't have grown and developed without the branding work Sound in Theory did at our start. A huge thank you."
